Neighbors Helping Neighbors

in Woodland Drives

Hi, Neighbor!

Welcome to Neighbors Helping Neighbors in Woodland Drives!

For whatever the reason, there are some things we need help with that we may not be capable of doing on our own. For several months a group of neighbors has been meeting to explore whether there is sufficient interest to support a volunteer-based neighborhood organization that promotes and coordinates temporary assistance for Woodland Drives residents.

We’re happy to report that there is enough interest to support such an organization. Neighbors Helping Neighbors services are now being offered for Woodland Drives residents of all ages.

Services we originally considered offering were developed from our research and consultations with other Tallahassee NHN-type organizations. The list was then prioritized by how many volunteers consented to provide a particular service. The higher the number of volunteers interested in fulfilling a particular service, the higher the priority in terms of NHN’s initial service offerings.

Our research emphasized that the success of NHN is dependent on having an adequate number of volunteers for each service that we offer. As we have more volunteers, we can offer more services. If you haven’t signed up to be a volunteer and would like be one, please see the “Want to Lend A Helping Hand?” section to apply.

Feel free to contact us for more information.
